Friends is one of my favorite shows from the '90s. One character I took a liking to is Rachelle Green. Her character development in the show was remarkable. I admire how she pursued her career and how she went from daddy's little girl to a career woman.

For sure, like Rachelle Green, you want a job that gives you career growth and a job that fuels your passion. Because sometimes being stuck in a job you don't really like is a bummer. Changing your career path can also mean stress and confusion and a lot of back and forth.

But how do we really prepare ourselves to chase that dream job we want?

Be Passionate

Wanting something is not enough to make things work. Sometimes we have to add a dash of passion into our hard work to make our success happen. Always put your heart into everything that you do.

Be Confident

It will surprise you how much wonders confidence can bring into your life. It can even change how you see yourself and how you see life. Be confident in presenting yourself to your boss or potential clients. Because you never know what door your confidence can open.

Be Willing

Accept that you are a work in progress and not everything you do is perfect. There will always be room for improvements. And if there is none, then you are not challenged enough. So be willing to accept new challenges. Be open to changes and improvements. Be willing to learn and don’t be afraid to try new things.

Be committed

Being committed to what you want could be your ticket to that success ship you’ve been meaning to sail. Don’t be afraid to say yes and commit to your goals. Make your goals happen and work on them. Commit to that successful career woman you want to be. Let it be the commitment that won’t tear your heart.

The truth is there's no right formula in preparing yourself for your dream job. And there certainly is no cheat code in instantly making it happen. But one thing is for sure, perseverance and consistency will pave the way to your goals.
